WHAT IS TIMEWALKING?
Timewalking in World of Warcraft allows players to revisit old dungeons from previous expansions, presenting a thrilling challenge as the players’ gear is scaled down. These events cycle weekly, allowing players to join them through a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue when active, given they are level 50 or higher. Timewalking is a feature-rich, nostalgic, and challenging event in World of Warcraft that brings back the thrill of old dungeons with scaled-down gear. It offers a variety of rewards, enhanced reputation gains, and a chance to relive the challenges and experiences of past expansions. The availability of different dungeons, the potential for diverse loot, and the integration of unique quests make Timewalking a well-rounded and exciting game component.EXPANSIONS AND DUNGEONS
There are several expansions involved in the Timewalking rotation, including:- Burning Crusade
- Wrath of the Lich King
- Cataclysm
- Mists of Pandaria
- Warlords of Draenor
- Legion
LOOT AND REWARDS
Players participating in Timewalking can earn various rewards, including unique items like Primal Nether and Frozen Orb, fashionable transmogs, music rolls, and even pets. Some notable items are the Reins of the Blue Proto-Drake and the rare Reins of the Infinite Timereaver, which players have a small chance to win from any boss. Timewalking Dungeons offer opportunities for players to gain Timewarped Badges, a special currency used to acquire nostalgia-themed items. The bosses in these dungeons drop these badges, enhancing the experience by allowing players to earn and collect unique rewards.QUESTS AND ADDITIONAL REWARDS
While participating in these events, players can pick up quests like "A Burning Path Through Time" and "Disturbance Detected: Black Temple" from specific NPCs like Chronicler Toopa and Chronicler Shoopa. Completing these quests can grant players additional rewards like Azerite, badges, and even pieces of Normal-mode Dazar'alor loot.REPUTATION BONUS
When a Timewalking event is active, it’s also an advantageous time for leveling alternate characters and collecting unfinished reputations, as players gain a 50% bonus to all reputation gains related to the expansion featured in the event. For example, during Outland Timewalking, players receive the Sign of the Twisting Nether buff, applying reputation bonuses to numerous factions like Ashtongue Deathsworn, Cenarion Expedition, and Netherwing.GEAR SCALING
In Timewalking instances, players retain all their talents, but their gear is scaled down to match the level of the instance. This feature allows players to utilize old legendaries and other gear that would otherwise be outdated, enhancing the nostalgic experience of the event.SCHEDULING
Players interested in joining Timewalking events can check their in-game calendar to know when the next event will be up, as these events are part of a weekly rotation with other World Events, each available for a week.LEGION MYTHIC+ TIMEWALKING
To start Legion Mythic+ Timewalking, players must first visit Ta'hsup in Oribos and get a Timeworn Keystone. This keystone allows access to Timewalking Mythic+ dungeons, such as Eye of Azshara, Darkheart Thicket, and Neltharion's Lair. These dungeons have been adjusted to modern power levels, challenging even well-equipped players. Unique Legion affixes, including the Infernal affix, which causes occasional Legion invasions within the dungeon, are present for those aiming for higher keys from Level 10+.MAGE TOWER TIMEWALKING
WoW Dragonflight has a lot of great content, including the Legion Mage Tower Timewalking event. It's a challenge that tests players based on their class and specialization and requires a minimum level of 50. If you succeed, you can earn awesome rewards like recolored transmog Tier 20 sets and unique Werebear appearances for guardian druids. There are seven challenges, each offering unique variations based on role and specialization. If you complete a challenge and then attempt another in a different specialization, you will encounter a different challenge:- Closing the Eye (Archmage Xylem) - Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Survival Hunter, Subtlety Rogue, Arms Warrior

COMPLEXITIES OF TIMEWALKING EVENTS
Timewalking events offer a nostalgic dive into the past but aren't without their challenges. Here's a look at some of the complexities that players face:- Unfamiliar Terrain: While the instances may be rooted in the past, many contemporary players must familiarize themselves with them. Couple this with difficulty scaling, and these dungeons and raids can quickly turn from a nostalgic trip to a challenging maze filled with surprises.
- Time-Pressured Rewards: The exclusive rewards during these events are time-sensitive. If real-life commitments take you away from the game during an event, you could wait months for another opportunity.
- The Team Challenge: Raids necessitate a premade group, and dungeons pull together a mix of random players. A mismatch or uncooperative teammate can derail an entire run, making the journey even more daunting.
- The Grind: Pursuing the top rewards often means multiple runs, demanding significant time and patience. While commitment can be rewarding, it can also feel monotonous and repetitive.
